Safety & Comfort
Your pet’s safety and comfort is our priority. We do not force or man-handle any pet for any reason. We will not perform any grooming procedure which causes pain or a level of stress that we think excessive. This includes de-matting and nail trimming in some situations.
Your pet dictates how long the session will last. We will do our best to adhere to our scheduled appointment times as closely as possible. However, sometimes situations occur that will disrupt the daily schedule of the groomer. This includes spending more time with an older/younger pet or a nervous pet. The pet’s safety will never be compromised by rushing to meet a schedule. You will be notified by text when it is time to pick up your pet. Your doggie will be waiting for you in one of our 2 grooming suites, therefore, if parents are unable to return for their pet within the 30 minutes following our text notification that they are ready for pick up, he or she will enter our daycare and the applicable hourly rate will be assessed.
First Groom Ever
Puppies can be challenging to groom because of their lack of experience with the process. We suggest starting them off with our $25 Introductory session as early as a few months old. Our groomers go to great lengths to make certain that this first visit is a very positive experience. During the abbreviated session, your puppy will be getting a nice bath and blow-out, a nail trim and a face, feet and sanitary trim. The exposure to the grooming process is the most important aspect of this visit. Maintaining regularly scheduled visits to the groomer is highly suggested so that very early on your puppy will learn that it is an acceptable part of their life.
Our groomers will ask each parent if their doggie’s haircut meets their satisfaction once the groom is complete. Please take time to look over the entire body of your pet to determine if an adjustment is needed. If concerns about the haircut develop later on, we do offer a 48 hour period for complimentary minor adjustments. Just reach out by phone or email and explain the scenario. We’ll accommodate your return visit as soon as it’s possible.
Since our Full Grooms are all inclusive, the only price differential that may occur…. would be due to inaccurate size/weight information provided when scheduling an appointment. Therefore, we will ask several questions when taking appointments so that we can allot the proper amount of time needed to complete the groom. A cost increase could also occur if an extra hour or more is needed to complete the groom due to special circumstances. We rely on our groomers to provide a fair price in exchange for their expertise and the time they dedicate to each client. Our regular clients rarely, if ever, experience a pricing change. New clients or those who do not visit as frequently may see a fluctuation in cost based on the condition of the coat, etc.
Cancellations and No Shows
As with most services provided by independent professionals, our groomers strive to maintain a full schedule each day to maximize their earning potential. No shows and last minute cancellations directly affect their overall income. Therefore, we require that a 24 hour notice be provided if a client cannot honor their scheduled appointment. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee in the amount equal to 50% of the grooming fee which is due and payable prior to rebooking their appointment. After 3 such occurances, payment in full will be required in order to book a grooming appointment.
Discretion in providing Services
To maintain a positive environment for all, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our own discretion. When expectations are contrar to our business model and philosophy, we will respectfully decline services for this individual. We have chosen to be in this important pet servicing industry out of love for animals and a desire to enjoy our lives while providing superior care to each of our clients.
